TIMELINE OF ECPS
East Coast Pipe Services Limited (ECPS) was established in 2007. Founded by Managing Directors Andrew Barnes and Adrian Hunn, after working together for 17 years in industrial refrigeration and fabrication for another company.
ECPS began in one company van with a capacity of taken on small projects only and a workforce of just the pair of them. Work grew fast and in 2008, just a year after being established, another van and extra labour was taken on, enabling ECPS to expand the size of the projects that could be carried out.
2010 arrived and so did ECPS’ first permanent premises. The premises was a single rented unit comprising of a small workshop, a couple of offices and a kitchen. This was a very valuable expansion, in regarding work rate and job sizes and allowed a faster production and larger workforce of 12-15 staff members. The company could now take on large projects covering a nationwide area.
In 2012, East Coast Pipe & Fittings Ltd (ECPF), a sister company to ECPS was established along with another rented premises, just a couple of units up from what was the current workshop. This allowed space for storage of vessels and large fabricated items and also a large area to hold stock of steel
pipe and fittings as well as more office space.
In 2017, ECPS moved and purchased it’s first premises, located at the current address of Vanguard Road, Great Yarmouth, UK. The building consists of a large workshop with over-head crane facility, canteen and supervisor’s office and features 2 acres of gated and secure yard space. Also on the
premises is a separate building containing offices. With the purchase of Vanguard Road, ECPS expanded it’s workforce and work size capability yet again. The fleet now consists of 10+ vehicles including a HGV lorry.

In 2026, with the increased growth of business for both companies (ECPS and ECPF) and the increase in demand for work space, last month, we successfully purchased Vos House, ideally located next door! With the ownership of both East Coast Building and Vos House, we now have a total footprint of 41,065 sq. ft, meaning we have DOUBLED in size!
The new space acquired will feature a dedicated stainless steel area for fabrication and products. A new office building with the existing building of Vos House being gutted, modernised and another floor added above, featuring new modern offices, kitchen, storage and a meeting room.
